My 29 years in the nonprofit sector have taken me from the National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C., to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in Colorado, to the former Lancaster County Historical Society and the North Museum of Nature and Science in Lancaster, PA. I have played a variety of roles, from assistant director and development officer to exhibit developer, giving me a broad perspective on nonprofit operations.
I started J. Alton Consulting as a way to share my skills and experience with as many organizations as possible.
